My favorite cookie:
Two Hour Cookies
1 lb Butter strawberry jelly
4 cups flour walnuts
1 egg yolk
1 cup sugar
jelly/walnuts
Two Hour Cookies
1 lb Butter strawberry jelly
4 cups flour walnuts
1 egg yolk
1 cup sugar
jelly/walnuts
Cream butter and sugar well, Add beaten egg yolk. Add flour gradually. Knead and roll dough into small ball. Roll in chopped nuts. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 225 for two hours.
Heat jelly. Do not turn oven off. When cookies are done add jelly in cookie centers. Turn off oven, and put the cookies back in the oven and let cool.
